I can’t say enough about this activity table, my son plays with it everyday! He typically prefers it over all of his other toys. My nephew loves playing with it too, even though he is too old for it developmentally. I don’t really have anything else to say about it, except that it was a great purchuse!

Don’t be fooled! You can use this on the floor or up on its legs. But once you put the legs on they do not come off. I contacted LeapFrog and they said they are modifying the packaging to indicate this. I had planned to return it but with the legs on it would require a large box and was just more of a hassle than I bargained for. So I kept it but was sorely disappointed. Had I known this I would have bought something else, or at least waited until my grandbaby was able to stand before I put the legs on. Either way, I can’t remove them. A search of the net resulted in some directions on how to remove the legs but I felt like I was going to break them.

We received the Leap Frog Learn and Groove Musical Table for x-mas when my son was 6 months old. We kept the legs off and placed it on the floor and he instantly loved it. It was recommended to me by a friend with a 7 month old and 2 year old and she was right on the money. We put the legs on it when he was 7 months, and he loves to try standing while leaning against it, flipping the book back and forth. He is attracted to all of the buttons, doors, keyboard, trumbone, etc. All of the different noises entertain and amuse him. It’s insta-fun!

    I highly recommend this toy!

We bought this toy for our daughter for Christmas and she loves it! She is currently 10 mos old and it is perfect for her as she is learning to stand. At first we removed the legs and just had her sit and play with it on the floor. But now as she is able to stand and hold on longer, it is great with the legs on. Our 2 1/2 year old son really enjoys it too. It is very entertaining for both of them, and isn’t annoying for adults either!

We also REALLY appreciated the frustration free packaging – VERY NICE! :)

We got this for our 6-month old nephew and our 9-month old son. Both kids are loving it. There are a lot of buttons, and 2 modes. I think the kids will learn a lot, and it allows them to stand while they are learning to stand on their own. My only concern with the product is that the legs could be a little sturdier. I think once our son gets a little more balance he will be able to pick this toy up and knock it over. But, other than that, it seems great.

Also, the frustration-free packaging was perfect. The toy was very easy to put together in a couple of minutes- the legs just snap on. You only need a screwdriver to put the batteries in. It takes 3 AA batteries and they are not inluded.

This table is sturdy, my bigger-than-average 11 month old pulls herself up on it and has fun grooving along with the music. Lots of different sounds and things to do. I wish it had more volume control options, but that’s really my only complaint. The music is actually pretty nice, with piano arrangements and string instruments. Good quality sound, and not as annoying as most music toys for baby.

my husband and i got this toy for our sons first bday because he was staring to pull up on EVERYTHING and his therapist (he has down syndrome) suggested to get a table or a push toy that converts into a car thing. i searched a lot…and i found this one to be the best choice. when i first put it up he was kinda skeptical, but now he LOVES IT! he pulls up on it with no problem and he actually dances to the music…and he’s a BIG boy…he’s just under 25 lbs. he loves all the different things to do…he never gets bored of it…ill have to say his favorite toy on it is either the banjo or the spinny thing. his therapist loves this thing…she loves how educational it is and how it encourages him to stand. they even have a spanish option which it just cool. its very colorful and not so annoying. i almost go crazy since his other toys are SOOOO ANNOYING…but this one has lots of song and noise options. it teaches shapes, numbers, abc’s, open/close, up/down, colors, sliding, and switches. oh nd honestly i thought this toy would be bigger…but i wasnt disappointed. its the perfect size for him. and the legs are very easy to take on and off. its about a foot and a half tall and about a foot and a half wide both ways. hope this was helpful to someone :] happy shopping!

I bought the Leap Frog Learn & Groove Musical Table for my son’s 1st birthday. He loved it! He played with it every day! It was by far his favorite toy. He is now 2 and still plays with it. My 9 month old LOVES it too! He pulls up on it and hits all the buttons and laughs at all the lights and music. If the table is surrounded by other toys, he will barge through the toys and make sure he gets to the music table! It is very educational as i hear my 2 year old repeat alot of things from it! I would recommend this toy for any age! When my 9 month old was younger, i just took the legs off and set it on the floor…he loved it!

I purchased this from Amazon for my son when he was 4 months old based on the excellent reviews.

He was not quite ready to use it but showed some interests when I showed him how to play.

His interaction has been improved a lot since then and now it became his favorite toy.

He controls the keys, loves the musics, and toddle around the table.

    It’s a must!

We purchased this for our 10 month old son for Christmas and he LOVES it! it is the perfect height for him to pull himself up on. He loves all the different noise makers on the table and is entertained for a good 30 minutes at a time and always goes back to it. I love the the legs come off for easy travel and storage, also it will be great for when we have another baby and they are not able to stand yet. I have seen it on sale at Walmart for $19. Great table!

My daughter just turned one and she absolutely loves this table. She loves to stand up and dance with the music. You change the “mode” its in by turning the pages so that the keys and buttons do different things so she will never get bored. The sounds of the instruments are really true to life and dont play annoying songs like some of the other toys do. There are many educational features too that my daughter will understand as she gets older.

Yes, this can and probably will annoy the heck out of many parents in a pretty short time. The kids however, they love it and it’s keeping my 1, 2 and 4 yr old entertained no matter how much they play with it. And as any parent of two toddlers will tell you – if they are happy, I’m happy! It’s well made has some educational value and it’s fun.

I purchased this toy for my 10 month old grandson for an Easter present and had Amazon ship it directly to my son’s address in NC. My grandson helped his father open the box and right away he wanted to play with it. It was very easy to put together only had to snap the legs on. My son thought at first he would need a screw driver and batteries and he was delighted that he did not need to do anything except snap the legs on and the baby could immediately start playing. My son said it was the best toy yet that they had received for the baby. My grandson can easly pull himself up and the height is perfect for his size. As mentioned in one of the reviews he has tried to crawl up on it; but that is what babies will do. He has had the toy for a week now and has not lost interest, infact he wakes up and it is the first thing he wants to do is to play with his Leap Frog Musical Table. This toy is an excellant value and see that it is a toy that he will spend alot of time playing with as he grows. I have purchased over the years musical toys for learning for my children and now for all of my grandchildren. Musical toys are great tools for developing young minds and have found Leap Frog Toys are the best. I have not seen the toy myself to list all the features, however a toy that holds a 10 month old child’s attention for more than 10 minutes is fantastic!

At the age of 6 month, she only knew how to bang and drool all over the toy. The noise and light is a great distraction. It is a good source of entertainment (Not educational yet) and can keep her entertain for 15-30 minute at a time. This toy replace my activity mat as she now knows how to sit and move out of that circle.

Near 7 month, she started to do the same repetitive thing like lowering down the guitar or the violin. It shows that certain button perform certain sound or perhaps it is just fun and mesmerizing to see the violin turn into spinning tops.

The sound quality are pretty good. It is much better than some graco swing I have when she was a baby. The noise is good and distracting, but not annoying. Every button or item perform certain sound or certain educational learning experience. My baby is too young to be picking up this yet. For those spanish speaking parent, there is a button that turn this whole toy into Spanish speaking.

My critique: The gap between lever and the toy could be a bit narrower. The gap are about 1/5-1/4 in. Her finger is much bigger than those gap, but if she has long finger nail, it could potentially hurt her. The legging that hold the toy is not perfectly round. It is hollow toward the inside. Potential problem I see is that if the baby manage to crawl inside and try to get out, they will start banging those side and potentially cause injury…. especially if she/he start pushing that toy and it collapse on their face.

I heard someone say it can be a stepping stool for infant to climb out the crib and this is very true. Also, the toy has a hard surface. There have been time that she manage to sit and then fell on top of it (without the leg).

After all the critique above, it still a great toy. Baby of that age need to be supervise at all time. Best thing is know what the toy can do (in term of potential accident) and what the infant can do. My critique is just what I thought out and there might be plenty more out there.

One key information, I got this toy for $24 during Xmas time.

One of the best infant toys ever

The musical table is one of those toys that everyone should get for their baby. We’ve watched our daughter enjoy it from the time that she was learning how to sit up on her own, and she continues to play with it now that she’s getting ready to walk.

We started with having it on the floor without the legs put on so she could reach it from a laying position. The activities on it really helped her practice her motor skills early on, and it was an incentive for her to learn how to sit up on her own. Now that she’s getting ready to stand and walk, I’ve just put the legs on for the first time. For safety, I’ve put some rubber tape on the bottom of the legs for traction because she’s going to be leaning on the table a lot as she plays.

I’ve noticed that some older reviewers mention that they couldn’t remove the table legs after putting them on. I must have a later version of the toy, because there’s a button on each leg that allows you to take them off. So that’s no longer an issue. Also, we’ve gone through about 3 sets of batteries since we started using the musical table. If you notice that the music starts to stutter, replace the batteries and that should solve it. Lastly, the music and singing doesn’t seem to be as annoying as other “sound” toys that we own. There’s enough variety on the table that your child probably won’t stick to any one thing for very long.

This toy was just okay. I liked the colors and the music. However, without the legs (which I did not use because my daughter is only 8 months and cannot stand), it’s a bit ackward to use. The baby has to sit sideways to play with the table. This may just be her but my baby lost interest in this only after 5 minutes. It did not hold her attention for long. It will be better for an older baby, possibly 12 months+.

Love the toy but very disappointed with the packaging from Amazon

While the Fisher-Price toys are always durable and educational, Amazon sent the toy in a cardboard box. No original Fisher-Price box, but inside a shipping carton. If this is what Amazon terms “frustration-free packaging”, I beg to differ. When I purchase an item new, I expect to receive it in the original package, otherwise I have no idea if the item is in fact new. I will not purchase toys for my grandchildren from Amazon, marked as frustration-free packaging, and suggest anyone think twice before submitting their order.

We bought this table for our 1 yr old and she loves it. Loves the music, the lights, the different languages, everything. The table looks bigger in the pictures than it really is though; we were surprised at the size when it arrived, but it turned out to be great anyway. Perhaps we didn’t see the dimensions listed. Also, our little girl has taken to climbing on it, so be sure to either remove the legs or watch your little one carefully!

I purchased this product when my son was 5month old. As soon as we show it to him, he was so happy about everything. He smiles whenever he press or push to make sounds. He is also very enthusiastic about standing and playing. This is a great product that promote babies to learn all kinds of finger movement. My baby really love this and I am so happy to see him smile all the time.

I absolutely love this toy. I’m a fan of Leap Frog to begin with, and this toy does not disappoint. It’s very brightly colored and has all kinds of activities. My favorite part is that it makes learning fun. Both of my children love to spin the maracas and hear the funny songs. There’s just so much to do with this little table too, and my kids have yet to tire of it. Overall it was a fantastic purchase for the money!

My one concern is that my son has now tried several times to use the table to climb up to reach higher objects. This could be said of just about any toy of this height, but just make sure to watch your little one once they hit that climbing age! I’ve started putting our table up against a wall and I make sure there’s nothing near by that could be pulled down.

  28. Jessica Crum says:

Fun for baby, not too annoying for mom!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My daughter (10 months) loves music and singing, so this toy seemed like a good choice for her. She loves it! It really encourages her to try to pull up. (the legs do come off very easily so little babies can play sitting down.) I seems fairly durable, too. The only caution I have is make sure it is braced against a wall or something if the baby is pulling up/leaning for support on it because it is fairly slide-y.

  29. RED says:

Marginally educational, somewhat annoying for the child
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This table seems to have everything that would stimulate musical interest. I gave it to my grand daughter at 5 months old, now at 61/2 months she can stand next to it and manipulate the items. However, it is frustrating for her. The page flip produces different results at different times, so the feed back is not there or correct in my mind. And it starts playing without doing anything. I think if a child initiates, it should produce the same reaction. Buy the Baby Grand Piano by fisher price. It is much better. I bought that for my grandson, and he still plays with it at almost 2 years old. He loved it.

This is a great toy, my 8 month old daughter loves to pull up on it and plays with it for long periods of time. Previous reviews stated that the legs did not remove, maybe they’ve made improvements because ours easily come off which was great for her to get used to the toy at first and also nice to take apart for travel. There are lots of songs and sounds so it does not annoy us as other toys do. The only negative is now that she is getting stronger and more confident, she can push it around the living room, we may need to add something to the bottom of the feet so it does not slide as easily. The green flap that opens easily comes off which is not a big deal to us, it goes on in a snap and she really likes to carry that object around with her. Overall this is a great toy for our little girl.

I have a very active 10 month old. I am a first time mom and I don’t have a clue what to purchase for the little one! I tried this because my baby gets bored fast. It worked. She loves it. It took a fweek for her to get used to it, but eventually she could stay with it for up to 15 minutes at a time, which is a miracle for me. It gives me enough time to take a shower- ALONE! She even bounces to the music!! The little piece by the frog gets stuck for some reason, but she wasn’t interested in that anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. This toy was worth the money for us.

I ordered the LeapFrog Table for my grandson for his 1st birthday. I had it sent to their home and my daughter said he couldn’t wait for her to get the legs on it. He loves the LeapFrog table. He plays with it every day. One of the best purchases I have ever made. It is definitely a learning toy. My daughter put a video on Facebook so I could see him using it. I can keep up with his progress since I live in another state. He walks all the way around it now. The little container area where the top lifts up is where his cherrios are kept and he can get them when he wants a snack. Great Investment. Would highly recommend.

When I saw the product I was enchanted it has both languages English and Spanish. My son alway wants for his kids to learn Spanish. Since they live in Gainesville it is hard for us to see the kids often. We tried the best to offer our grandchildren our heritage.

I received the item wihin the time promissed and once we received the item and put it together we decided not to hold the toy until Christmas but better send it to our grandson Mickey for his 2nd birthday. My son told me he took it to Walmart recently and that Mickey enjoyed the toy at the store immensely. Hopefully he would use it and learn some Spanish from it.

Bought this for my 15 month old boy. Wanted him to have a toy that he could get some exposure to musical instruments and also explore his own rhythm. He likes to move around the table pressing buttons, turning the page, and sliding and spinning other indicators – while dancing to the sounds. Wish that there were more pages to turn – strange that it “appears” that there are several pages, but really only one to turn. Overall, it’s a sturdy toy that he has fun with. In time, we’ll see how much he learns from it.

We put the legs on the table for our 9 month neighbor and it took HOURS and a flat head screwdriver to remove the legs (and my husband was really worried he’d break the legs)! DO NOT PUT THE LEGS ON UNTIL YOUR LITTLE ONE IS READY.

I thought this toy would be great for my son – but since he learned to walk early he got very bored with this pretty quickly. He likes that he can switch the items from music to words (like ABCs…). But I think there are better toys out there that can keep him entertained for longer. He is now 1 1/2 and I dont’ think he even looks at this anymore.
