Granddaughter and her Mommy love Sophie

After reading the many rave reviews, I bought this toy for my 5 month old grandbaby for Christmas. She loves it. My daughter has met many other mothers who also love SOPHIE. It is small enough, light weight and easy for very little one to hold onto. Plus it is bpa free (a big plus) It seems to be pricey for the size but well worth every penny. Next time I need a baby gift “Sophie” will be my first choice.

My son absolutely loves this teething toy. It is a bit pricey compared to most teething toys but the fact that this toy is made out of natural rubber and food grade paint justifies it for me. My baby also loves that it squeaks. Whenever he’s crabby and I pull this toy out, he instantly smiles. The size is perfect for his tiny hands (he’s 6 months old) and it does seem to soothe his gums. All in all a great buy as far as I’m concerned.

This teether is exactly what other reviews say. It is incredible. My 6 months old took to it right away. Its the perfect shape to get those little hands around and perfect for gumming on. It’s nice and soft and totally natural. We love it
My son loves Sophie!

We gave this to my son for his first Christmas. He loves it! Even at 5 months old he recognizes Sophie and loves to chew on her. And she is darn cute too! I always get comments on it when we are out. We even used it in a recent photo session.
Yes, this is a pricey teether. I am concerned about what is in my son’s toys and specifically what is in a toy he will spend time chewing on. With all the recalls and new information coming out, I’d rather have a few quality items than a toy box full of cheaper products.

The Teething Giraffe worked great for my 7 month old son. Yes it is expensive for a teether, but he loves it still and I do think it has helped him trhough this rough phase of his baby life!!

Out of a zillion toys/teethers we’ve bought, this is one of the the two things my baby will teeth on. I was searching for teethers that were non-toxic, bpa-free, etc. when I stumbled across the Sophie toy. I now talk to parents all the time who swear by it. My baby is so attached to Sophie that when we lost her first one, I ordered four more in case of future Sophie emergencies. They’ll make great gifts if we don’t need them…. Wish I’d known about this when my oldest was a baby!

My baby likes Sophie the giraffe. It’s very soft, filled with air, and it squeaks. Those were things I didn’t realize when I ordered it. So I was surprised, but she likes it a lot! It’s easy to hold and chew on. I love that it’s safe and healthy.

After hearing all the hype about her, I bought Sophie for my 5 month old for Christmas. I do not regret this purchase! 3 months later Sophie is still one of her favorite toys and she spends lots of time chewing on Sophie. My now 8-month-old still has no teeth, but I’m sure Sophie will continue to be a hit once they break through. Sophie is easy to clean too.

I bought Sophie for my 9 month old son for christmas, but gave it to him early since he is teething. He loves her! I like her old-fashioned look, I’m glad they have not changed her over the years. I would recommend Sohpie for all babies, I am going to buy a few more as gifts for friends!

In anticipation to my daughter starting to teeth I was searching for a safe non-toxic teething toy and found Sophie…we received it in the mail and gave it to our daughter to play, she enjoyed her right away…she loves to put Sophie in her mouth and chew away…I must say that it sometimes does not satisfy the biting craving she has, but she keeps her busy and happy and it’s no doubt one of her favorite toys. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe teether…only thing is follow the instructions on how to clean Sophie as I have gotten water inside of her and kind of messed her up a little, but you should be fine if you just make sure that you don’t do that and clean her with a damp cloth as it is recommended…I chose to not care about getting water in because I would rather clean her well with soap as Sophie often ends up in the hands of other little ones and sometimes falls to the floor…this is why I gave her 4 stars on durability, but it should not be an issue when choosing to purchase her…Sophie is totally worth the price, your little one will surely enjoy her and it will last a long chewy time.

I Dont Get It

When we first got it I thought did my fiancé buy this for the dog? Why did I think that?, because it squeaks just like a dog toy, feels like a dog toy, and when the dog heard it squeak she thought it was hers to. Yes it is cute and I am sure good for teething but for 20 dollars it is a bit pricy for something that honestly isn’t all that different from a dog toy. I would rather have spent the 20 doallrs on a couple other more interesting teethers. (btw: this is written by the mom not the dad)
Fantastic Toy, Well-Loved, Could be Allergenic

Sophie is VERY well loved in our house. She’s played with frequently by our 10 month old and has been for many months now. Our five year old often uses Sophie to interact with his little sister or to distract her from his toys. She’s well made, adorable and gets many compliments.
That said, I use her with some reservation, b/c she’s made from natural rubber. On one hand, no synthetic toxins!! However, the more a person is exposed to latex/rubber, the more likely they are to become allergic to it. And, a latex allergy is a lifelong issue, as it’s such a common substance. A baby spends a lot of time sucking and chewing on a toy like this and the potential for allergies does concern me. The same goes for pacifiers and bottle nipples (if you need them,) mattresses, etc. made of rubber/latex.
I have a love/hate relationship with Sophie (or any of the similar Vulli toys,) I suppose.

I am a grandmother that know a lot about toy and this one looks like a deer I gave my children, which was a great teething toy. I sent one to a cousin which she has greatful for she just heard about it from a friend. Every newborn shoud have this item.
